A/Prof Rohit Joshi is a Medical Oncology Consultant working with the GenesisCare group at Calvary Central Districts Hospital and St Andrew's Hospital. His public Staff Specialist appointment is at the Lyell McEwin Hospital, which is the major public hospital in the north of Adelaide.
Rohit completed his undergraduate training at the Christian Medical College in India, after which he trained in Medical Oncology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Rohit is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and is certified by the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO).
He treats solid cancer types with major interests in Lung cancer, Breast cancer, Gastro-intestinal cancers (including Colon, Rectum, Pancreas) and Kidney cancer.
Rohit is a Director at Cancer Research SA (CRSA), which is based at South Terrace, Adelaide. He was the former Director of Research at the Lyell McEwin Hospital and Adelaide Oncology & Haematology. The research includes breast, lung, colorectal, melanoma, head and neck, genitourinary cancers and more; including Phase I (first-in-human), Phase II and Phase III studies. He was the Chairperson of the Adelaide Clinical Trials and Education Consortium (ACTEC), which is supported by Cancer Council SA.
He is an Associate Professor at the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia.
